For many years, Kirk and Jenny recognized the need for skilled employees. Many times, they would hire someone and train the individual themselves. They decided during COVID that they were going to change the way they hired and trained. So, Jenny set out to get the company set up with a registered apprenticeship program that would be recognized by the state. In doing all the research, she came across the curriculum the company would be going to use called NCCER. This is a nationally recognized educational program that incorporates book work with the hands-on work that is required in the electrical field.
Becoming an electrician apprentice offers numerous benefits that pave the way for a successful career.
Josh Arnold started at Spitzer Inc. in 2013 as an electrician’s helper. Since starting, Josh has gone on to get his Journeyman’s Electrical License and his Master Electrical License. In addition, he also has gotten his whole house generator technician certification from Generac. In 2023, he got his NCCER teaching certificate to be able to start teaching people who wanted to get into electrical work and get their journeyman’s licenses without having to pay to go to school.
